Independent Reviews of Singapore Cloud Accounting Platforms
Each review covers one platform or provider that Singapore businesses can actually buy and run: what the product does, who it suits, where it falls short for local requirements, and what to check before signing.
Compare all platformsHow we choose what to review
We do not accept payment for a review, and we do not publish scores we cannot justify. Every platform below has a Singapore-facing product page or a local listing you can open yourself, so you can check the same sources we did before you decide anything.
What we check first
GST handling, InvoiceNow readiness, bank reconciliation depth, multi-currency behaviour, and whether the Singapore page is maintained rather than carried over from another market.
What we flag as a gap
Thin local support channels, inventory or payroll features pushed into add-ons without a clear note, and pricing pages that hide the tier you would actually need.
Software versus provider
A product review and a provider review answer different questions. The software is the ledger; the provider is setup quality, training, and how fast someone replies when a filing deadline moves.
When a review changes
If a platform changes pricing, drops a local feature, or adds one, we update the review and say what changed. Old comparisons quietly left online are how businesses end up signing the wrong tier.
Reviews are checked against the vendor's own Singapore pages, not against a comparison written months ago.
Xero
Xero runs a Singapore-specific product page and is widely used by local SMEs and accounting firms. Core strengths are invoice creation, bank reconciliation, reporting, and multi-factor authentication, all of which matter for day-to-day bookkeeping here. The platform is also referenced in Singapore marketplace and guide content as InvoiceNow-ready or accredited context, which makes it a frequent first stop for businesses that invoice other registered entities.
It suits SMEs that want accountant-friendly workflows and a broad integration ecosystem. If you run inventory-heavy operations, check the add-on options before assuming the base product covers you. Pricing is tiered and changes; confirm on the Singapore page rather than relying on a comparison written months ago.
Check before you commit
- Confirm the current Singapore pricing tier on the vendor page, not a cached summary.
- Ask whether your accountant already works in Xero; it shortens onboarding.
- List the add-ons you need for inventory before comparing totals.
Zoho Books
Where the free tier stops
- Multiple users move you onto a paid tier.
- Payroll and inventory tracking are priced separately from basic accounting.
- Local support depth varies; ask what the Singapore response channel looks like.
Zoho Books appears in Singapore accounting software comparisons as a cloud product and is often highlighted for a free plan in market roundups. That makes it a realistic starting point for very small businesses that need invoicing and basic accounting without a subscription commitment on day one. It is commonly positioned for small businesses rather than accounting firms managing many client sets.
The trade-off is depth. Once you need multiple users, payroll, or inventory tracking, you will likely be looking at a paid tier, and the comparison should be made at that level. It is also recognised in Singapore software directories, so local familiarity exists, though the depth of local support varies.
Financio
Financio is a Singapore-focused online cloud accounting platform, marketed for startups and SMEs with accounting and payroll together. Its official site emphasises ease of use and local tax obligations, and it maintains a Singapore-specific landing page and local positioning. For a startup that wants bookkeeping and payroll under one login, that combination is a genuine convenience.
The platform's audience is early-stage businesses rather than complex multi-entity operations. If your needs run toward inventory, multi-currency at scale, or practice management for many clients, compare carefully before choosing. As with any local product, ask about the support channel and response expectations.
A good fit when
- You are a startup or young SME without a finance team.
- You want payroll and bookkeeping in one place.
- You want a locally positioned product with a Singapore landing page.
A2X
Where the value shows up
- Settlement timing stops being guesswork.
- Marketplace fees and refunds land in the right period.
- Multi-channel sellers stop reconciling payout by payout.
A2X is not a general ledger. It is ecommerce accounting automation that handles settlement and reconciliation workflows for sellers on Shopify, Amazon, Etsy, eBay, Walmart, and PayPal. It appears in Singapore software directories and is popular with online sellers rather than traditional service businesses.
If you reconcile marketplace payouts manually, the value is in accuracy and time saved on settlement timing, fees, and refunds. It works alongside your accounting platform, so you still need a ledger underneath. For a single-channel seller, the case is weaker; for a seller juggling several payout schedules, it addresses a real gap.
Local providers run on the same ledgers you would buy directly. What changes is the setup and the support behind it.
Local providers: Wealthbridge, KLOUDEX, Everyday Corporate, Aggregate
These four appear in the SMEs Go Digital solution directory with Xero-based cloud accounting offerings. Wealthbridge Corporate Services Pte. Ltd. offers a Xero-based cloud accounting solution and sits in the provider ecosystem around SME accounting digitisation. KLOUDEX Pte. Ltd. is listed with Xero cloud accounting software and is relevant to local onboarding and implementation coverage. Everyday Corporate Pte. Ltd. provides an Everyday Corporate Xero Cloud Accounting Software offering, representing a corporate-services-led implementation model. Aggregate Cloud Accounting Software (Xero) is built around Xero as the underlying platform and presented as an approved local solution offering under Singapore digitalisation support.
Reviewing a provider is different from reviewing software
The product is Xero; what varies is setup quality, response time, training, and how well they understand your industry. Ask for a reference in your sector and a clear scope for migration before committing.
What we do not do
We do not rank platforms into a single league table, because the criteria that matter differ by business type. We do not publish a review without checking the vendor's own Singapore page. We do not accept sponsored placement, and we do not remove a criticism because a vendor disagrees with it. If a product changes materially, we update the review and note what changed.
